Glaslough Villa Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former player and captain, Jonathan Duffy.

Jonathan proudly wore the Villa colours throughout the 1990s and captained the club with distinction, commitment, and great pride. He was a respected teammate and friend to many, and his contribution to the club during those years remains fondly remembered.

Having emigrated to Australia, Jonathan recently returned home to Glaslough to be with his family. His passing is a great loss to all who knew him, both within our club and the wider community.

As a mark of respect, the club is organising a Guard of Honour at Jonathan’s funeral. We invite all current and former players, coaches, members, and friends of Glaslough Villa FC to attend and represent the club. 

Guard of Honour details:
Friday – please assemble at the church 30 minutes before the funeral service begins.
